What does it cost to join?
Nothing. Joining, creating your profile and packages, receiving request alerts and sending quotes are all free. Papohapo earns a commission only on agreements you sign through the platform.
How much is the commission?
The rate is shown on each request before you quote. It's 10% unless the request shows a different rate, and it applies only when you win and the agreement is signed.
How do request alerts work?
When an organiser publishes a request for a service category you offer, and the event is in a county you cover, we email you the details and a link to quote. Alerts are on by default, and you can pause them from the Request alerts card in your Provider Centre.
How long does sign-up take?
A few minutes. Create your account with your business details and the services you offer, then build out your profile, packages and verification at your own pace.
Do I need to be verified before I can quote?
No. You can quote while your verification is in review; organisers see your current status on your profile. Verification adds the Papohapo Verified badge to your profile and packages.
What kinds of requests will I see?
Requests from organisers planning all kinds of events, from weddings, birthdays and harambees to conferences and funerals, for the service categories you choose on your profile.
What if I'm not available on a date?
Block the date in My Availability so your profile calendar shows it, and simply don't quote on requests that don't suit your schedule.
Can I earn by introducing other providers?
Yes. Your account comes with a referral code. You earn a share of Papohapo's commission on bookings won by providers you introduce, with M-Pesa withdrawals from KES 500. See the Provider Partner Programme.
